A battle of some of the most veteran organizations in Counter-Strike made up of some of the most legendary players, Natus Vincere faced fnatic in the Starseries i-League Season 7 grand finals.

The best-of-five series would only go three maps as Natus Vincere held their grip on the Swedish side. Luckily for the spectators, none of the three maps would be blow outs and fnatic would hold their own against the likes of Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.

Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson showed a peak performance for fnatic as he finished the 0-3 series with a +8 kill-to-death ratio and 92.6 average damage per round, the best in the server.

Na’Vi would take Mirage 16-13, the closest map of the series with fnatic holding an 8-7 lead at the half, as they would for all three maps. A pistol round victory on the back of a triple from s1mple would start the end for fnatic. After a streak of rounds saw Natus Vincere go up 14-9, fnatic would come alive to close the gap but falter in the end for the 16-13 loss.

After an 8-7 half time lead on Dust2 and Inferno as well, fnatic would fall flat in the second half. The Swedish side would only net three more on Dust2 and two on Inferno before Na’Vi grabbed their sixteenth.

s1mple would grab the MVP thanks to his not so surprising high impact gameplay. Na’Vi would walk away with the trophy and the $250,000 first place prize while fnatic took home $80,000 for second place.
