Changes may be coming to the Natus Vincere camp. Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács may be moving to the bench according to a report from 1pv.fr.
The organization is considering this move while GuardiaN isn’t participating in the team’s practices the report states. It goes on to say that Rodion “fear” Smyk from Na’Vi’s Junior team is filling his place in practice but isn’t expected to replace GuardiaN in the starting lineup should he be removed.
GuardiaN rejoined Na’Vi following the departure of Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko as the former Na’Vi in-game leader decided to retire. With Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov taking over the role of in-game leader and Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev focusing on rifling to make room for GuardiaN, many fans were excited.
Things haven’t exactly lived up to the hype though and many are looking towards a significantly weak run of performance from GuardiaN as a primary reason.
Now just four months later he’s on the verge of being benched. With his benching it was reported that s1mple will be taking over the main AWP role once more, leaving Na’Vi in search of a rifler to fill the gap. There are no people listed as targets in the report.
It is reported that Na’Vi is taking the time to think about the situation.
