Lazarus has officially announced the signing of Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker to their CS:GO division. yay joins shortly after the departure of Michael “dapr” Gulino who was let go at the end of May.
As stated in the previous article reporting the potential move, yay was most recently playing alongside the Bad News Bears lineup in the Mountain Dew League but has made the step back into the ESL Pro League with Lazarus.
Prior to Bad News Bears, yay had been a member of compLexity and part of the lineup that made a top eight appearance at the FACEIT London Major. Several months after the miracle run things hadn’t gone so well and he was let go alongside Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor. Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert would be the player to take yay’s place on compLexity.
According to the rules regarding the StarLadder Berlin Major/Minor, yay will be unable to participate with the team as they move into the closed qualifier. With Braxton “swag” Pierce unable to participate in any Valve sponsored event as well, it’s unclear whether they will be unable to continue or perhaps bring in their coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner.
