ESL has unveiled the dates for the upcoming Minors ahead of the next Major. Intel Extreme Masters Katowice will be the first Major on 2019 and boasts a $1,000,000 prize pool.

As was previously announced, all four minors are set to take place in Katowice, Poland. All participating teams will travel with two regions playing at a time. Which region goes first or second will be determined by their respective time zomes so as to allow fans to have the easiest viewing experience.

January 16-20 will kick things off with the Europen and CIS Minor followed by the Asia and Americas Minor from January 22-26. The Minor playoffs will begin on January 27 and see the third-placed teams from all Minors battling it out for a last effort shot at the Major. The top two teams from the Minor playoffs will have earned their place in the IEM Katowice Major New Challengers Stage.

Eight teams will come from the four minors by finishing in the top two with the two additional teams coming from the playoffs. These teams will join Ninjas in Pyjamas, fnatic, G2 Esports, Vega Squadron, Cloud9, and TyLoo at the 16 teams fighting in the New Challengers stage. The top eight teams from this stage will earn their place in the Legends stage where compLexity, Team Liquid, Astralis, Natus Vincere, BIG, FaZe Clan, HellRaisers, and Made in Brazil await. Eight teams will move on to the Champions Stage in front of a live audience in he Spodek Arena.

IEM Katowice minor schedule:

January 16-20: CIS and Europe Minors
January 22-26: Asia and Americas Minors
January 27: Minor Playoff
