Astralis’ in-game leader has returned to captain the ship. Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander is back in the server with his team after three and a half months on leave from the team. The 25-year-old made the decision to step away in mid-May citing burnout and stress.
Now he returns to the active lineup in place of Patrick “es3tag” Hansen who had officially joined the roster at the start of July. During his time competing with the active roster, Astralis only competed in ESL One Cologne where es3tag was the highest rated player for the team. They were eventually eliminated by Ninjas in Pyjamas in the quarterfinals.
Astralis is currently live in their first match with gla1ve back in action against Complexity.
“I’m really excited to get back on the server. It’s hard to say where my level will be against a top team like Complexity right now, but I’ve had some really good practice sessions with the team lately,” gla1ve said in the official announcement. “Integrating the two new players have gone well, and I’m looking forward to playing with my old teammates, as well as with ‘Bubzkji’ and ‘es3tag’, they’ve both performed really well already.”
