After over two months spent on the bench of Cloud9, Pujan “FNS” Mehta has been released from his contract with the organization. FNS joined the Cloud9 back in April in an attempt to solve the teams’ in-game leader problem following the departure of Jake “stewie2k” Yip. After some unsuccessful runs and “differences in philosophies,” FNS was placed on the transfer list just a month later in May and has been inactive since.

The brief Cloud9 in-game leader took to Twitter to announce his free agency and share some kind words toward Cloud9 CEO Jack Etienne along with his fans.

FNS has had two very shortlived career moves lately as he joined compLexity and jumped ship relatively shortly after as he received an offer from Cloud9 and couldn’t pass it up. Unfortunately for him and Cloud9, things didn’t work out before they ever really got a chance to begin.

Since then Cloud9 has used Maikil “Golden” Selim Martin “STYKO” Styk as stand-ins for the team. STYKO participated at ESL One Cologne and the ELEAGUE Premier while Golden led the team only at the latter.

The future of Cloud9’s remaining trio and the departed FNS is still unknown.
