In a massive throwback performance, Olof ‘olofmeister’ Kajbjer helped guide FaZe Clan to a big win over Team Liquid in the BLAST Premier Spring Group C consolidation final. The win as secured FaZe a place in the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021.
olofmeister is rumored to be on his way out of FaZe but with a showing like he had today, he certainly has to be causing some doubt. The legendary veteran player finished the series with a +26 kill-to-death differential and 92 average damage per round (ADR).
The first map was a tough one for both teams, hitting double overtime before a victory could be named. This is where olof stood out the most, netting a +17 k/d and 90.4 ADR with his next best teammate being Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken being +3 for k/d. Håvard ‘rain’ Nygaard actually finished with the highest ADR in the server, however, with 94.8.
Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski did his best for Liquid with a +7 k/d and 93.6 ADR but couldn’t quite make the difference to get his team the win.
Inferno was nowhere near the same constant, however. After a somewhat close start FaZe ran away with the game and took the map 16-6 with relative ease. Continual opening picks combined with a good read on Michael ‘Grim’ Wince’s A balcony playstyle led FaZe to a smooth second map win and a 2-0 for the series.
