“Each region will battle it out in five BO3 knockout brackets to qualify for the ECS Season 8 Finals. Higher stakes, no dead games,” the official post reads.

Changing from Season 7 to Season 8, “the first two teams to qualify for the ECS Season 8 Finals will be the highest prize money earners from the first two weeks of competition. After that, each week’s tournament winners will go directly to the finals.”

As of now only the first series of each region has a set date with bot running from September 16th-19th.

Details on the North American finals location have not yet been released.

The event will once again consist of the ECS Community Caster Challenge as well as ECS After Dark post-show on Caffeine.
