DreamHack has revealed their plans to reschedule two of their upcoming events due to the current coronavirus pandemic. DreamHack Summer and Dallas have been postponed to later dates as the organization evaluates “options available for how to proceed with DreamHack Masters” Jönköping.
DreamHack Summer, which was originally scheduled for June 12th to 14th will be held from August 6th to 9th while DreamHack Dallas which was to be held from May 22nd to May 24th will not run from August 14th to 16th.
DreamHack stated that they are “in continuous dialogue with the CSPPA and other stakeholders to make sure that any considered options have minimal impact on the CS:GO community, players, staff, and other tournament organizers.”
As of now, Jönköping’s date has not changed according to information provided to HLTV. BIG and Gen.G are the two teams set to attend this far, having won DreaHack Open Leipzig and Anaheim respectively. The $250,000 event is one of the biggest Sweden gets every year.
DreamHack states that they will “keeps fans updated through the information page” and “follow the guidance of trusted health advisors, city officials, and venue partners” for their remaining events in 2020.
For now, fans can refund between today and April 19th should they wish to.
