Another event and another stand-in for compLexity. The ongoing Visa struggles being experienced in the esports scene (and the United States as a whole) continue to plague the Texas-based organization.
After using Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert in place of Ricardo “Rickeh” Mulholland at a recent event, the Australian based player will once again be missing an event.
This time compLexity will be in need of a fifth for the ESL Pro League Season 9’s second round. It won’t be n0thing stepping in this time though. Former compLexity player Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker will be donning the new jersey as he competes with the team in Burbank, California.
The 20-year-old was with the organization during their Major run in London at the event hosted by FACEIT. His time with the team only lasted several months after as results weren’t getting better and changes were made.
NRG, Liqid, Luminosity, and Detona topped their groups in round one where compLexity placed third in Group B earning them a spot in round two.
The squad will be competing in Group A where they battle MIBR, Isurus, and Renegades.
