American professional esports organization FaZe Clan is in discussion with Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev to join the active roster, according to multiple sources. At this time it is unknown if the move to sign AdreN would be on a temporary or permanent basis.

AdreN was a member of the Gambit Esports organization for almost two years, where he won a Major at PGL Krakow 2017. Earlier this month the organization announced that he was a free agent and available to join a new team. During his tenure, Gambit won a few more notable events including DreamHack Open Austin 2017 and DreamHack Open Winter 2016, but failed to repeat that same success in 2018.

FaZe Clan announced last week that they would be benching Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who had previously been demoted from his in-game leading position. With just over a week remaining until the January 1st Major roster lock, they have had limited time to find a replacement. Under the leadership of karrigan FaZe Clan won a number of tier 1 events including StarSeries Season 3, ESL One: New York 2017, ELEAGUE Premier 2017, Intel Extreme Masters XII – Sydney, and ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018.

Should FaZe Clan add AdreN to their roster the lineup would look as follows:

Norway Håvard “rain” Nygaard

Bosnia and Herzegovina Nikola “NiKo” Kovač

Slovakia Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács

Sweden Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer

Kazakhstan Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev
