After days of speculation and various reports, Cloud9 has finally revealed their new fifth. Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, recently of Swolepatrol has been signed on a trial basis for the North American organization. Zellsis helped to lead Swolepatrol to the ESL Pro League with a one loss season in the Mountain Dew League before securing the move up with a victory on LAN.
Former Cloud9 member Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir has now lost two of his Swolepatrol teammates to other Pro teams with his brother Austin “cooper” Abadir signing with eUnited just before the end of the season.
“Although this is only a trial for Cloud9, I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to not only represent this organization and play under such experienced players, but also to prove myself as a player and as a person. I will use this time to gain what I can and further improve myself as a player and I hope I can bring something special to this team and Cloud9.” the new addition said in the official announcement.
CEO and owner of Cloud9, Jack Etienne shared his thoughts and vision on the move. “In 2018 we brought North America its greatest victory in Counter-Strike history and we’re eager to get back to it in the new year. Zellsis is more than ready to jump into the fray with us and we’re looking forward to seeing his skills in action and kicking off 2019 on the right foot.”
